RF Partners
Foundation

The RF Partners Foundation began in 2021 to provide grants to nonprofit organizations with missions that promote programs encouraging education, academic support, achievement, and leadership development.

For many years, the partners of RF have supported nonprofit organizations that are essential to the health and safety of New York and Chicago. During the global pandemic, we at RF decided to formalize and grow our efforts to help our local communities.

Internship
Initiative

At RF, we have a proud tradition of helping our communities. Through targeted grantmaking, the Foundation supports nonprofit organizations focused on academic access and enrichment that are dedicated to serving low-income students of color in high school within the Chicago and New York metro areas, where the RF offices reside.

Our Internship Initiative offers opportunities to women and people of color in college and business school. Our goal is to recognize talented individuals, offer educational opportunities and reward hard work.

In 2023, the RF Foundation awarded two new organizations a two-year grant, each receiving $25,000 annually for their continued work in promoting academic achievements, leadership development, empowerment, and access to higher education among students of color. Congratulations to College Possible and CitySquash!

OneGoal and YWCA Brooklyn Lead are entering the second year of their two-year grants – receiving a total of $50K each.

College Possible was granted $25,000 to support its mission to close the college degree divide. Since 2000, its programs have helped empower more than 80,000 students from economically disadvantaged communities on their path to a college degree.

CitySquash was granted $25,000 to support its after-school enrichment program — nurturing talent and motivation in individuals from economically disadvantaged households & helping them fulfill their academic, athletic, and personal potential.

The YWCA of Brooklyn, Inc. – YW Brooklyn LEAD program is a second-year grant recipient, receiving an additional $25,000 to support its college access and leadership development program. YW Brooklyn LEAD supports women and girls in Brooklyn by bringing the community together to fight for a more equitable and just world.

The Opportunity Network is a second-year grant recipient, receiving an additional $25,000 to support its Fellows program. The Opportunity Network ignites the drive, curiosity, and agency of underrepresented students on their paths to and through college and into thriving careers, powered by a commitment to access and community.

Let’s Get Ready was granted $25,000 to support its Access program for five hundred New York City students during the 2022 spring and summer semesters. Let’s Get Ready expands access to higher education in America by mobilizing, equipping, and empowering college students to help the next generation step up to college.

The Posse Foundation was granted $25,000 to support its Chicago program site. The Posse model works for both students and college campuses and is rooted in the belief that a small, diverse group of talented students – a Posse – carefully selected and trained, can serve as a catalyst for individual and community development.
